This map from Time.com shows that D.C. has more abortions per 1000 woman than any state in the union. 40 out of 1000 babies are put to death.
I can't say I'm really surprised, and I think perhaps the number would be lower if our legislature was located somewhere else.

It is far worse than you say.
The map shows number of abortions per 1000 women aged 15-44, not the number of abortions versus the number of pregnancies. Any women of those ages is included, whether she was pregnant that year or not. And most were not.
I have heard the actual figures for DC are that something like HALF of the pregnancies end in abortion.
